All the HTET Aspirants, Education Bhaskar, want to draw your attention to big updated news that the Haryana Government & Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) has released the notification for conducting the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) on 2nd January and 3rd January 2021. Recently, HTET was conducted successfully on 16th and 17th November 2019 at the various centres in Haryana. The exam’s online application process has started today on 16th to November to 4th December 2020 via online application. The exam was expected to conduct in November, but due to Corona Virus Pandemic, the exam was postponed to January 2021.
Latest Updates on HTET
- 23 December 2020: Board has issued the admit card for the HTET 2020 Exam. Candidates who have applied successfully download the same from the candidate login portal.
- The deadline for HTET 2020 Application forms has been extended till December 10, 2020.
- 16 November 2020: BSEH has released the notification for HTET 2020, scheduled to be held on 2nd and 3rd January 2020. The online Process for registration has started today.
- 1 October 2020: The tentative dates for HTET 2020 is announced. HTET may be conducted on 21st and 22nd November 2020.
- 29 September 2020: The Government of Haryana has extended the validity of the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) and State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) certificate from 5 years to 7 years.

What is HTET
HTET stands for Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test. It is also famous for its other name, i.e. Haryana TET. The Test is conducted annually for those keen candidates who wish to make a career in the reputed & respective field of Education in Teaching. The TET qualified person is to be eligible to teach in the Government School recognized by the Department of School Education. Before, it was called a State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET). There are state-level Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) and a central level exam, i.e. CTET.
BSEH conducts this test at the following 3 Levels:

The test will be in two modes:
- Online – Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Offline- Traditional Paper Written Test
Applying candidates must follow the following qualification to be eligible as prescribed by the NCTE. The State governments may change the qualifications & eligibility requirements as per the GOs issued by them for HTET Exam:
|Teachers of Classes I-V (Paper I)||Candidates for this category should have passed in Senior Secondary (or it is equivalent) with 45% marks with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.Ed) / four years B.El.Ed / two-year Diploma in Education in Special Education are also eligible. Alternatively, Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of two years Diploma in Elementary Education.|
|Teachers of Classes VI-VIII (Paper-II)||Candidates for this category should have a Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc./B.A./B.Com etc.) candidates with two years D.Ed./ B.Ed. OR 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed. or B.A. (Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.) / B.Ed. (Special Education) With 50 per cent in BA or B.Sc. Both Appearing & passed Candidates are Eligible.|
|Lecturers of Class XI-XII||Candidates for this category should possess the Post Graduate (PG) Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks from a recognized university. Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary / Graduation / Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the Subjects.|
NOTE: Read the Notification for equivalent Eligibility Criteria/qualification. Relaxation will be provided to reserved categories in for of percentage of minimum qualifying marks.
How to Apply

- Step 1
Go to the official website of BSEH i.e. bseh.org.in and click on the link label with HTET Online Registration.
- Step 2
Read all the instructions and click on the submit button.
- Step 3
Fill the application form with correct detail and submit. Write down and save the generated login ID and password for further steps.
- Step 4
Upload the recent scanned photo and signature.
- Step 5
Pay the application fee one of these steps i.e. Net-banking, Debit/Credit Card, Bank Challan and Submit after rechecking the complete detail.
- Step 6
Save and Print the system generated copy of Application form and Application fee receipt for future reference.

Those candidates who have applied can download their admit card from the official website from November 2020. Admit Card cum Roll numbers are compulsory for all applicants to sit in the examination hall. Admit Cards can be download from the link below:
Applicants appeared in exams for Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test can see the result on Board’s official website. The expected date for the result in December 2020. To see the result, candidates need a roll number. If any candidate forgets his roll number can also see his result with the registration number. The registration number can be found on the phone number and email ID which has given at the time of registration. The candidates need 60% (90 marks) for all except SC/PH ( 55%/82 marks) to qualify for the exam.
HTET Certificate Validity Period
The HTET certificate validity period for qualifying candidates is
five years (Now 7 years) from the date of declaration of its result for all categories. There is no restriction on the number of attempts for eligible candidates. Those candidates who already qualified for the exam can reattempt the exam for improvement.
The Candidates appearing in the final year of the Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) are eligible for Level 2 (TGT) and Level 3 (PGT) Exam.
The questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying one mark each. There is no negative marking for the wrong answer.
